2023 - 2024 City of Raleigh Nature Preserves Artist in Residence
I am thrilled to have been selected to serve as Artist in Residence for the City of Raleigh's Nature Preserves: Annie Louise Wilkerson, MD Nature Preserve Park, Durant Nature Preserve, and Horseshoe Farm Nature Preserve. I'm excited and grateful to have the opportunity to work with such a fantastic group of people with the City, and collaborators including Extra Terrestrial Projects, Natalia Torres del Valle, Lauren Hunter, Chris Tonelli and more on artworks and events which highlight the natural beauty and ecology of the Preserves and promote the mission of preserving native flora and fauna.
For more information on the residency and schedule of upcoming events please see Raleigh Arts
4/15/24 - 8/23/24 - "plants and birds, and rocks (and things)"
plants, and birds, and rocks (and things)
City of Raleigh Block Gallery: April 15 - August 23, 2024I have had the pleasure of curating a group exhibition with Stacy Rexrode, Curator of Exhibitions and Collections with Raleigh Arts. As Landscape often serves as a backdrop for human-centered activity – this exhibition flips this focus. The works included in plants, and birds, and rocks (and things) highlight the sometimes under-noticed or unseen elements of the ecosystems we live in. I am thrilled to have work in this exhibition with Claire Alexandre, Annie Blazejack and Geddes Levenson, Julia Einstein and Janet Link.
Reception is April 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM
